About Ally

Ally Rogers

Allyson Rogers brings her experience of working with many of the country's best dressage trainers and top horses to west Tennessee. She spent 10 years working with Olympian Steffen Peters, training here and in Europe. She accompanied him to the Olympics and other international competitions for many years and when staying in California, she had the great experience to ride and train these outstanding dressage horses. Ally was responsible for riding and schooling some of the most famous international dressage horses including 1996 Olympic Bronze medalist Udon, owned by Lila Kommerstad, and her other famous horses Grandeur, Akeena, and the 2005 USET Intermediare 1 Champion Marlando. Another horse she was solely responsible for riding at Steffen's until his sale was 2005 USET Intermediare 1 reserve champion Luxor. Some other famous names are Anky Van Grunsven's and Robert Dover's former Grand Prix horse, Eminent, and the wonderful Oldenburg stallion, Routinier.

Ally received multiple California Dressage Society Year End Awards partnered with the famous mare Akeena at Prix St. Georges and also with Mystere, whom she imported for a client as a 4 year old. Ally and Mystere showed virtually undefeated through Fourth Level on the tough California circuit until he was sold. Since her arrival in Tennessee, she has garnered numerous awards with many horses including her own Hanoverian mare, Gretel, Routinier (owned by Heritage Manor Farm), and the famous Arabian gelding Scrabble at Intermediate 2 (owned by Massar Stables). In addition to her extensive experience at the FEI levels, she was well known at Steffen's for bringing the very young horses along through the levels, and her patience with the babies. In 2005, two of her Young Rider students competed in the FEI Young Rider Championships in Lexington, VA, one already an individual bronze medalist in 2003. She has many students who are successfully competing at all levels, including FEI. Please contact Ally for more information.
